Marielle Hare lives in the woods of central North Carolina along the Haw River. She is a photographer, video artist, performer, and creator of art happenings.

She received a B.A. in Art History from UNC, Chapel Hill and studied, performed, and taught dance and theater at Naropa University in Boulder CO. She lived for almost 20 years in San Francisco, where she was the founding member of an acclaimed physical theater improvisation company called etiquette physical theater and founded and ran an event design company called Loop Event Arts. She was fortunate to attract clients that allowed her to create such things as a meditation labyrinth out of marigolds, moss-covered Victorian furniture set in an apple orchard, floor-to-ceiling mobiles made of natural materials, and nests that hold a couple of adult humans.

Her art is influenced by her work as an improviser, teacher, designer, and entrepreneur.

When she is not making art or smooching her dog, she is working as a consultant and coach to creatives and designing and facilitating workshops. Marielle has designed curriculum to catalyze the creativity of a wide range of populations from pre-school special needs children to top leadership at NASA. Work that brings people into their bodies, into their creativity, and cultivates a sense of belonging is essential to her life and process.
